From Us to You
Handmade, with heritage
We’re a textile design house working hand-in-hand with gifted artisans in Ghana to bring you beautiful, handcrafted apparel with genuine African flair.
Every purchase gives you an exclusive, handmade piece — and directly supports skilled artisans practicing techniques refined over thousands of years. That’s the difference between fast fashion and a piece with a soul.
Sec 6 · Mission band — full-width green, white centered pull-quote. An emotional “breather.” No buttons.
Our Mission
“To be the global storefront for authentic African textiles — promoting the makers, protecting the craft, and ensuring this heritage is passed to the next generation.”
Sec 7 · Workshops & outreach — the real differentiator vs. Amazon/Etsy sellers. Surface it; link to a Workshops or Contact page.
Education & Community
More Than a Store
Through our educational workshops, we teach the art of Kente and Adinkra cloth-making to students, crafters, and textile lovers of every level. Interested in a workshop for your school, group, or organization?
Sec 10 · Footer (every page) — four columns. CRITICAL: the Shipping, Returns, and Size Guide pages must actually exist and be linked. These are the trust gaps stopping purchases today.

About Sec 2 · Who we are — single centered column, ~720px max width for readability.
G. Kofi House of Fashion is the global storefront for authentic, handcrafted African textiles — and the artisans who make them. We’re a textile design house built on a simple belief: that the patterns, techniques, and stories woven into traditional African cloth deserve a place in wardrobes and homes around the world.
As G. Kofi Design & Associates, we specialize in original artwork and designs for textile surfaces, and we partner directly with gifted Ghanaian artisans who use production methods refined over thousands of years. When you shop with us, you’re not buying mass-produced print. You’re wearing the work of a maker: made by hand, made to last.
About Sec 3 · Origin story — image + text split. The 1995 Albany Institute origin is your strongest trust-builder; give it room.
Where It Began
From a classroom in Albany
Our journey began in May 1995, during an apprenticeship with the Albany Institute of Arts, where our founder, Kofi, taught public-school students the art and meaning of African textiles.
What started in a classroom in Albany, New York, grew into a registered textile design and marketing company — and today, a bridge connecting Ghanaian craft to a global audience.
About Sec 4 · Mission band — mirrors the homepage mission band for consistency.
Our Mission
“To serve as the global marketplace and virtual storefront for producers of authentic traditional African textiles and fashion accessories — to promote and sell their products.”
About Sec 5 · Education & outreach — two scannable sub-blocks instead of one dense paragraph.
Education
Workshops for every level
Our educational wing teaches the art of making Kente and Adinkra cloth — to college students, textile enthusiasts, crafters, quilters, and students from elementary through to higher levels.
Community Outreach
Sharing the culture
We collaborate with arts-promotion agencies to host exhibitions that build genuine multicultural understanding of traditional African values and artistry. Join us on a journey of cultural exploration.
About Sec 6 · Closing CTA — bridges the story back to shopping.
